Complexity in 4GL systems at ICCSA 2018

Published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science vol. 10964: “Feature level complexity and coupling analysis in 4GL systems” (Kicsi, Csuvik, Vidács, Beszédes and Gyimóthy).

Metrics such as size, complexity and coupling need to be re-interpreted for fourth-generation (4GL) languages, and product line adoption adds features as a higher-level view that cuts across program elements. The paper proposes feature-level complexity and coupling metrics and applies them to several variants of a large industrial product line written in the Magic XPA 4GL language.
